Web22 Mar 2024 · The TH350 come in two "typical" lengths.. short for cars (6" tail-housing) and long (actually medium 9" tail-housing) length for trucks and vans. The "long 350" is the same length as the 700r4. The output shafts are also the same. My problem... I unfortunately have the car trans which is 3" shorter than the 700R4, and will need a 3" longer ... Web2 May 2011 · Here is where the 2 differ and why you simply can't swap a Th350 in place of a 700r4 and vice versa. The reason is, because the 700r4 is longer in the main case before it gets to the tailshaft. So what happens, is the crossmember needs to come forward if your using a Th350 instead, and also you'd need a new driveshaft since it would be short.
